Tight old growth grain (+22 rings /inch) give this wood carving a rich quality. Here, both raven and eagle are depicted spoon-wise, clutching a moon between them. Many Northwest native cultures are comprised of eagle and raven clans, which, when depicted together, symbolize the whole community and/or the unity of marriage.
