To the native people of the north, the raven was a trickster whose curiosity often resulted in unexpected benefits to others. One day, while looking for food along a shoreline, he found a large clamshell and could hear muffled sounds from inside. He pried it open and out came several humans. These were the first people according to Haida legend. These earrings make a wonderful set with the Raven, Clam and First People pendant. Here, the only sign of Raven is a stray feather to remind us of his passing.
